The Safety Pin Cafe
"Beautiful on purpose!"
We have just bloomed a new motto. "Beautiful on purpose!" While sitting beneath our unplugged, nature-abundant air-conditioned cafe, eating the fresh pickin's of raspberries, Pete said, "Beautiful on purpose." Just like that! I turned to him in awe and thought THAT'S IT!
We are preparing to re-open and update our cafe. Like the olelo no'eau "He puko'a kani 'aina" that has been my guiding star ... slowly, because that's the way nature is The Safety Pin Cafe is combining it's mana, her life force, with that of Acoustic Tutu (my hand-drawn art with a story to tell).
The process includes these actions :
- Ritualizing the connections with the multitude of potentialities
- Gathering stories from here and there ...
- Safety pinning them
- Giving thanks for each mo'olelo
- Tincturing them over time
- Finding how they heal and change us
- Sharing them in personalized doses
- Asking the La'au nui ... the Tree People for their help when time comes for putting the mo'olelo onto their skins
Keep an eye on this blog. We are hoping to be ready to leap into our new skins in time for Acoustic Tutu's 3rd Birthday. September 4,2025.
